Spaghetti Bows
You know the classic canned spaghetti noodles shaped like little rings that we all used to eat as kids? I sure hope so, because you’re about to be able to make them in your own kitchen! Choose any noodle type you want, but my kids like the bow tie pasta and it fit the name, so that’s what we did!
INGREDIENTS:
*1 16 oz box of noodles (choose a gluten free one, to make this dish GF!)
*1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
*1/4 cup nutritional yeast
*2 Tbs tomato paste
*1 tsp onion powder
*1 tsp garlic powder
*1/2 tsp paprkia
* 1 tsp salt
*1 15 oz can tomato sauce
Super simple ingredients that you most likely already have! This meal makes for a great “I don’t know what’s for dinner” night.
DIRECTIONS:
Cook pasta according to instructions in a large pot.
Once cooked, drain, rinse pasta, and add back to pot.
In a medium bowl, combine remaining ingredients and mix well.
Add the sauce to the pasta pot, turn heat to low, and stir to coat.
Once mixed and warmed, serve!
Your kids (and you) will love this! It’s a much healthier version of the nostalgic one you remember, but it’s just as good! Feel free to add fresh basil or vegan cheese to fancy it up a little, ya know, now that you’re an adult! Or enjoy it’s deliciousness just the way it is and remember the good old days of riding bikes with friends until dinner time and playing at the creek.
Keep cooking, friends!
